We practice immersion baptism, and ask everyone who wants to be baptized at Grace to go through our baptism class.

Our Baptism class takes place over two Sundays. The first week we cover what baptism is and is not, that way there's no confusion about what you're doing as you are baptized. The second half of the class is designed to help you prepare to tell your story as part of your baptism.

What is baptism?

Baptism is a symbolic representation of the beginning of the Christian life.

  • It's a symbol of a believer's spiritual death and resurrection with Jesus. Romans 6:2-5
  • It's a symbol of the washing and cleansing of a believer's sins by Jesus' blood. Titus 3:5 and Acts 22:16
  • It's an outward sign of an inward change.

Baptism is commanded of believers. Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38

Baptism is for a public identification with Jesus and His Church.
